For USAID Missions

Accessing PSP-One Technical Assistance and Leveraging Core Funds

PSP-One accepts field support and core funds from the Office of Population and Reproductive Health and other Global Health or regional offices. PSP-One is the U.S. Agency for International Development’s primary vehicle to support core-funded activities to:

  1. Synthesize lessons learned in private sector programming
  2. Monitor and evaluate innovative private sector strategies
  3. Promote technical leadership, coordination, and collaboration across all PSP-IQC holders and private sector bilateral projects

Missions interested in accessing core funds to support activities in these areas should contact the Director of the PSP-One project, Dr. Ruth Berg; the USAID/Washington PSP-One CTO Technical Advisor, Patricia Mengech; or the PSP-One Technical Advisor CTO Marguerite Farrell. For more information, please visit http://www.pspiqc.org/mission.html or send an email to info@PSP-One.com.

For PSP IQC Holders and Cooperating Agencies

Collaboration with all PSP IQC holders and cooperating agencies working in the private sector is a priority for the PSP-One project. PSP-One strives to develop cooperative, effective working relationships with and among all organizations, especially through:

  • Knowledge management activities
  • Participation on panels and task forces
  • Research, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Tool development
As a part of this effort, PSP-One showcases and disseminates organizations’ work through the Resource Center. In addition, PSP-One maintains the PSP IQC Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP), USAID’s primary mechanism for monitoring and evaluating progress in private sector programming. The PMP specifies standardized indicators used by all recipients of PSP task orders.

For Private and Commercial Partners

Through the PSP-One project, Abt and its partners can provide assistance in a broad range of activities, including market segmentation and willingness-to-pay surveys for better targeting of resources, building business skills among private providers such as midwives, adding behavior change to product markets, and setting up franchises and networks.
